While Lockdown 1 was a fun, new experience.. with plenty of twists and turns.. I felt that it had been done and finished.. no need for any more.
So I was shocked that they did a sequel in November, Lockdown 2. This one however was shorter, and I just didn't feel it had the same power as the original.. plus I don't think it was that popular! It didn't have the same storyline and tbh, I don't think the ending was that great. Although the twist of a new varient of Covid was a nice twist! Possibly setting a 3rd outing? I didn't think it would.

Imagine my surprise, that they decided to make a Trilogy! Lockdown 3 was announced on Monday. This time, they have really tried to make it big like the original. Longer, more lockdowns and most of all a promise that this could have an ending that will tie it up all nicely! (though who thinks a potential twist would be the vaccine doesn't work?)
With the new varient sweeping the country, it does feel this lockdown has more thrills, tension and urgency than the previous 2.
Will we see Lockdown 4 - or will it end at 3. They could make it into a Saga.

I really was a fan of Lockdown 1, although i did think that the distribution and release dates could have been brought forward by a month, it felt like the studio was trying to hold off releasing it as long as possible to maximise the money they could lose.

Lockdown 2 felt rushed and ill conceived with a weak plotline and B-grade cast members.

Lockdown 3 I feel there is a plot twist in the making whereby it's setting up for Lockdown 4: Zombies on the Beach where we find out that the virus mutates with the vaccine and creates Zombies who want to go on holiday to the beach but have to bite their way through the quarantine zones.
